There are 4 native frogs and toads and about the same again of introduced but limited ranged in the UK, so its hard to not be able to identify a frog in the UK once you've learned the few there are!

Talking of UK species Ive finally put up by rockpooling/beachcombing posts on my blog if your interested :)neilhttp://my.opera.com/Ukwildlife/blog/2009/07/22/rockpooling-at-broad-haven-and-little-havennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9797239.post-40956969194675837402009-07-22T15:19:06.759+08:002009-07-22T15:19:06.759+08:00It looks like an algal bloom to me.Did you try dis...It looks like an algal bloom to me.Did you try disturbing to water to see if some cleared up?If it's not, then it's probably some toxic waste dumped there(?)Remushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18066585498161577710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9797239.post-47246345995421869302009-07-20T21:46:27.020+08:002009-07-20T21:46:27.020+08:00Had suggested to nparks to tag the uncommon plants...Had suggested to nparks to tag the uncommon plants. Actually, if they find it too much work to label the species, they can just use coloured tags to indicate to the workers to leave them alone. Hopefully Nparks will really do something about it...

Really not sure what's wrong with the water. The colour is just weird, and it doesn't look like an algal bloom to me too. Robert had reported this to the Nparks staff. Hopefully they can find out what's causing the problem.Ron Yeohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14985280422009642787noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9797239.post-87357224456791976672009-07-20T18:14:07.651+08:002009-07-20T18:14:07.651+08:00wonder if NParks (with the help of Buloh volunteer...wonder if NParks (with the help of Buloh volunteers and mangrove researchers) can label those uncommon /rare plants so that they are left alone by maintenance crews?

If the green stuff killed even the snakes, probably not algal bloom leading to oxygen depletion...budakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07693717163007410639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9797239.post-28535237936772109192009-07-20T18:08:23.990+08:002009-07-20T18:08:23.990+08:00goodness, the water looks terrible!!! seeing these...goodness, the water looks terrible!!! seeing these pictures made me depressed too, even though the croc pic is very handsome.Lianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02240032197612584021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9797239.post-84396180954780117672009-07-20T14:01:37.168+08:002009-07-20T14:01:37.168+08:00The degradation of the natural environment is alwa...The degradation of the natural environment is always a distressing sight - but which unfortunately is more common rather than the exception.FH2ohttp://www.fh2o.kuchingkayak.comnoreply@blogger.com
