More Kalak Kambing (Finlaysonia obovata)

Managed to find time to visit Sungei Kadut again after a workshop on Monday, and so decided to post more photos here.

Here's a close-up of a flower of the whitish variety of the Kalak Kambing (Finlaysonia obovata).

Not too far away, I found the purplish variety, and here's a close-up of a flower.

And here's a look at a bunch of the purplish flowers.

Spider
There was even a spider on one of the flowers!

Kalak Kambing (Finlaysonia obovata) Flowers
I always find it interesting to see both whitish and purplish varieties growing side by side. What causes the difference in colour, I wonder?

Kalak Kambing (Finlaysonia obovata) Fruits
There were several fruits too.

Kalak Kambing (Finlaysonia obovata) Fruits and Flowers
Here's a shot of the fruits with the flowers.

Kalak Kambing (Finlaysonia obovata) Fruits
There's this particular plant with lots of fruits! This is just one of the several bunches.

Dried Kalak Kambing (Finlaysonia obovata) Fruits
I saw some dried ones too.

Kalak Kambing (Finlaysonia obovata) Fruits with Cotton Stainer Bugs
On some of the fruits, I saw a number of cotton stainer bugs.

Cotton Stainer Bug
Here's a close-up of one of the cotton-stainers which landed on a leaf of the Kalak Kambing. Not sure what species they belong to though.
