Managed to find time to visit Sungei Kadut again after a workshop on Monday, and so decided to post more photos here.
Here's a close-up of a flower of the whitish variety of the Kalak Kambing (Finlaysonia obovata).
And here's a bunch of the whitish flowers.
Not too far away, I found the purplish variety, and here's a close-up of a flower.
And here's a look at a bunch of the purplish flowers.
There was even a spider on one of the flowers!
I always find it interesting to see both whitish and purplish varieties growing side by side. What causes the difference in colour, I wonder?
There were several fruits too.
Here's a shot of the fruits with the flowers.
There's this particular plant with lots of fruits! This is just one of the several bunches.
I saw some dried ones too.
On some of the fruits, I saw a number of cotton stainer bugs.
Here's a close-up of one of the cotton-stainers which landed on a leaf of the Kalak Kambing. Not sure what species they belong to though.
